How much is .......?
We publish our pricelist every year on Jan 1. Here is our 2019 pricelist.
What is Custom Wear?
Custom wear is primarily cut to order and custom designed for each client. Theater costumes, full Santa suits etc. Video conferencing is used when planning custom orders so we get it just right. We ask for 2/3 of estimated amount to be put down. The balance is due when order is completed. Estimated pricing is on our 2019 price list.
What is Non-Custom Wear?
Non custom wear is product that is produced on a regular basis, such as Renaissance shirts, vests, knickers, hats and some Mrs. Claus fashions. These items are already priced out and will need to be paid in full at time of placing order. See our 2019 price list for reference.
How do you take payments?
We accept checks, credit cards and PayPal. Checks must clear before any work is started on custom or non-custom orders.
How much is shipping?
We carefully package all your items and ship with USPS priority boxes. International shipping does incur additional fees. For shipping in the US expect $10-$40 in postage fees depending on the size of your order. Additional insurance is added when necessary.
How long does my order take?
Custom wear can take 2-4 months. Some trims and fabrics come from outside the US, so extra time is needed. Some large orders and full Santa suits and wardrobes take more time, so plan accordingly. No custom orders are taken after August 1st to guarantee your product arrives before your season starts.
Non custom wear turnaround time is between 4-6 weeks unless we attend a Santa conference. The work load sometimes doubles and triples after attending these conferences and so turnaround time goes out farther. If you need an item for a specific date, we will do everything we can to get it to you before that event.
Do you guarantee your work?
Our motto is “if you are not happy, neither are we!” Please keep in mind that doing projects remotely can be challenging. We go strictly on your measurements. If in doubt while measuring, please contact us. We will make minor adjustments and repairs to any custom wear at no charge up to 3 years after purchase. Any repairs due to neglect or damage may be charged to you. Example of this is: if your dry cleaner does not guarantee their work and make your fur red, BWD will charge for taking off fur , getting it cleaned, then reattaching it.
How do I take care of my garments?
Take everything out of the shipping boxes and put on wood hangers. If you've had anything dry cleaned do not leave on the dry cleaning hangers or in the plastic dry cleaning bags. Ideally hang your garments in a cool, dry place when not in use.
How Do I take my own Measurements?
We go over this with you during a consultation call and we're working on a tutorial video. But I you are still in doubt while measuring please contact us for further instructions.
When can I chat with you?
It is very challenging to have a cottage style business and have it work around family time. We are available to take phone calls and video conferencing from 9 AM to 5 PM CST, Monday through Friday. If you cannot work that with your schedule, please let us know and we will make an acception.
How do I video conference with you?
We do a fair amount of video conferencing when planning a custom job. We will instruct you how we will proceed with this.
